My Pride as A Gackt Fan

FOURZE, SANJOU!!! UCHUUUUUUU KITAAAAAAAAAA~

UCHUUUUUUU KITAAAAAAA~

Kamen Rider Fourze has arrived, Fourze, sanjou! The first episode of Fourze started last Sunday, a quick rundown of Fourze is as below:

Kamen Rider FOURZE

• High school student who henshins into a Kamen Rider!
• Has a shitload of switches that enable him to fight fight fight!
• Has support robots called Foodroids!
• Has a "partner" who absolutely, absolutely hates him, but has to aid him nonetheless

That last part reminded me of this guy

An interesting thing about Fourze is the high school setting. We have several characters named after past riders who are part of the Kamen Rider Club:

From left: Tomoko Nozama (Amazon, with tomoko being reference to his frequent "tomodachi-ing"), Miu Kazashiro (V3, Shiro Kazami), Kengo Utahoshi (Kamen Rider #1, Takeshi Hongo, the Ankh+Goto guy), Gentaro Kisaragi (Fourze!!!!), Yuki Jojima (Riderman, Yuki Joji), Shun Daimonji (Kamen Rider #2, Hayato Ichimonji) and JK (X, Keisuke Jin).

The characters all represent token stereotype characters, with Nozama being the Goth, Kazashiro as the "Queen", Utahoshi as the sidekick, Jojima as the token good girl, Daimonji as the Jock and JK as the cowardly slacker. This is somewhat interesting as Gentaro has made it his aim to be friends with everyone.

Up until now, Gentaro has used several switches, namely:

Rocket Arm

Launcher Leg

Drill Leg

Radar Arm

Chainsaw Leg

Apparently Gentaro is somekinda prodigy for using Fourze.

But nonetheless, after watching the first episode, several questions are on my mind, namely HOW DOES THE SCHOOL PAY FOR ALL THE DAMAGE.

I'm guessing under government grants, citing "Collateral damage due to reckless fighting'..... LOL

Well, episode 1 was great, and I am really looking forward to episode 2.

Once more, UCHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU KITAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~

Differences between Kamen Rider W and Kamen Rider OOO

Today We are going to compare

3. Fights against antagonistic group called the Museum who uses Gaia Memories to wreak havoc on the city.

6. Has a shitload of forms on account of the Gaia Memories with Half-Changes.
7. Has a partner who starts out initially wary of the main rider. (Ryu Terui/Accel).
8. Has a main female lead who starts out annoying then becomes a good friend/companion. (Akiko Narumi)

OOO

1. One guy who transforms into one rider with a cool-ass bike.
2. Uses Core Medals stolen from the Antagonists.
3. Fights against antagonistic group called the Greeed who uses Core/Cell Medals to wreak havoc on the city.
4. Has a berserker state called PuToTerano Combo.
5. Aided by a rogue member of the Greeeds.
6. Has a shitload of forms on account of the Core Medals with Combos and random combos.
7. Has a partner who starts out initially wary of the main rider. (Shintaro Gotou/Birth2)
8. Has a main female lead who starts out annoying then becomes a good friend/companion. (Hina Izumi).

The similarities DOES NOT END THERE. The biggest similarity is this.

Has a shitload of merchandise to sell to kids.

My stupid form 6 life.

Uhuh.....Form six. That's what I got. I entered the school near my old school, SMK Seri Serdang. And of course, to fulfill my dream of being an engineer [NOTE: Creating Iron Man Suits], I entered 6 Mulia Bawah, the infamous physics class.

The first thing I learned from this class is you DO NOT DISCRIMINATE. In this class, we may all be Chinese (the Malay guy went to polytechnic institution) but nonetheless we tolerate everything except racism. And talentism.

MEANWHILE, in the Biology class, they don't take no shit with yo' pointless yappin'. You talk too much? Not from their school? You might as well have the Plague.

In my class, instead of pointless studying, we study in a stress-free environment. Especially for Maths. A typical conversation with our Maths/Form teacher Encik Kamarulzaman starts like this.

US: Cikgu, kenapa kamu lewat?

KZ: Aiyah, saya ada hal sikit.

Note the aiyah. From that day onwards, we would pepper our conversation with aiyah, ahhhh and several other nonsense from this teacher.

For chemistry? My gawd. We use Methyl "jingga" for methyl orange.

So that's about it for my class. I hope I survive the time for F6!

J-RANT #1: Gackt

Well, I'm out of toku ideas, might as well start a J-Rant here. Today's J-RANT Topic is...Gackt.

Quite Simply, Gackt, full name 神威 楽斗 Kamui Gakuto is a Japanese Visual-Kei Singer. His name literally means God's Brilliance, Music Fighter. Aha, judging from that badass name, he must be awesome.

Well, As mentioned, he's a visual-kei singer. According to wikipedia here, is a musical style in Japan where singers put on a lot of white makeup and have androgynous appearances. But anyways, Gackt is somewhere in the middle. Androgynous, but male all the same.

I first heard of Gackt from this movie.

Kamen Rider Decade. He sang the theme song, which really coincidentally just came on in my random itunes playlist.

Journey Through the Decade. When I first heard this song, I was like, 'Wow, this guy sure has nice vocals'. I immediately went to Ares and downloaded this song.

Immediately, I was taken aback with this song.

I was somewhat surprised to hear that Gackt sang this song as well, since I PREVIOUSLY heard this song, and it was awesome. Soon, I was moving on to the third song of his DECADE trilogy.

Stay the Ride Alive. One of his better songs, I may add. After that, I was hooked on the voice of Gackt.

I typed in Gackt into my Ares search and several songs came out, among them JESUS, GHOST and several more. But 1 song caught my ear before all of them.

Last Song. It reminded me of her, her smile, her beauty. I remember the tears in my eyes as I first heard this song. The emotions....well, anyways, I soon moved on to his Final Fantasy Projects.

Oh, right. I forgot to mention that Gackt is also Genesis Rhapsodos from Final Fantasy VII Collection. This guy.

Genesis is the result of project G, and he was the first SOLDIER to rebel against Shinra. In case you were wondering where had you heard this before, it happened to this guy.

Sephiroth. In a way, Gackt's character, Genesis was the original Sephiroth.

The buddies are pictured here. ANYWAYS, back to the topic. He recorded 2 songs for Dirge of Cerberus. Redemption and Longing.

But eventually I moved on to what I consider his best song-Flower.

This song always sends a shiver down my spine. Now....Gackt has other projects, such as Show Your Heart and whatnot. I LOVE GACKT!!!!

My Friday Round up #1

Well.....today's Friday again. That means that another week of doing 'stuff' that 'nobody cares'.....well anyways I've decided to give a Friday Round up every week. Applaud!
